The journey

A careful rhythm,
week by week.

Each theme builds gently. There is no pressure to perform, disclose or make technically perfect photographs.

Week 1

Arrive & notice

Safety, grounding and learning to notice light, colour and detail without judgement.

Week 2

A different view

Perspective, framing and gentle photo walks that invite curiosity about familiar surroundings.

Week 3

Images & feelings

Using visual metaphor to explore emotion without needing to disclose or explain personal experiences.

Week 4

Self & strength

Identity, self-compassion and creating images that recognise personal resources and resilience.

Week 5

Connection

Belonging, shared themes and optional conversations prompted by photographs rather than direct questions.

Week 6

Looking forward

Selecting a personal series, reflecting on the journey and planning a supported next step.

Six participants sitting together and reflecting on photographs they have made

Shared reflection

Your image.
Your meaning.
Your choice.

Participants may talk about an image, listen to what others notice, or simply let the photograph stand for itself. The group holds the conversation with care and respects every person’s boundaries.
