Notice
Slow down, ground yourself and use the camera to notice what is present without pressure to explain.
West Midlands · Six-week programme
A calm, non-clinical photography programme supporting emotional wellbeing through mindfulness, creative expression and reflection.
How it works
No photography experience is needed. Cameras are provided, every invitation is optional and participants keep control of what they create and share.
Slow down, ground yourself and use the camera to notice what is present without pressure to explain.
Explore light, place, colour and perspective through guided photography, photo walks and supported image-making.
Choose what to share, make meaning from your images and leave each session with a calm, supported close.
Open across age groups
Finding the Light can be shaped for young people, adults, older adults and intergenerational groups. People may arrive with anxiety, low mood, grief, trauma, isolation, confidence difficulties, communication barriers or a challenging life change. Nobody needs a diagnosis—or photography experience—to begin.

A supported next step
Finding the Light works with adults, young people, community organisations and health partners across Dudley, Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
